Born from a desire to redefine the boundaries of fashion innovation, Garment Dyed Revolution is a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the international synergy that drives the evolution of contemporary fashion.
MANIFESTO
The Garment Dyed Revolution was conceived to represent through colour Italian “industrial and productive genius”. Its context, understood and extended as social uniqueness and biodiversity heritage, has the aim of recounting a significant portion of our textile history, capable of a conscious contemporary presence, in which every territory is a unique and unrepeatable scenario where a process of constant transformation and transmission of knowledge takes place. The interaction that occurred through the centuries between the environment and human presence has contributed to defining the form and substance of the places that surround us, highlighting origin and potential, orienting creativity, culture, entrepreneurship, and leading to the identification of a community’s particular vocation every landscape is a dynamic ecosystem, a place for interaction of man with the biosphere.
The Garment Dyed Revolution is a resilient structured communication programme with the aim of highlighting the uniqueness of the Italian textile sector and its protagonists. Tintoria Emiliana proposes a narrative project with direction to be shared with distinct and recognised companies in the high-quality Italian textile sector, offspring of the places where they belong and their history. The format is to create an international promotion of the textile supply chain, understood as the cultural relations and the production network that establishes the tone and style of our distinctive and unrepeatable brand identity.
The community’s alphabet is the territory. Every territory recounts itself, through its history and way of relating with the world. Year after year, over time, the events of places and the actions of those who live there create an image that corresponds to the external perception of territorial value and qualities. Year after year, the history of a territory transforms into its reputation. Its identity in relation to what is created there is conditioned by the meaning that is perceived.
As part of the initiative, Tintoria Emiliana has included as special guests two well-known and internationally recognized Japanese companies, Komatsu and YKK respectively, both historical collaborators with TE for research and innovation. This partnership highlights the strong relationship between Italy and Japan, which officially began in 1866 with the Treaty of Friendship and Commerce to not stop and expand not only in the political-strategic sphere, with military alliances and within the international system, but also and above all in the commercial, cultural and social spheres. Their presence in The Garment Dyed Revolution determines with the avant-garde fabrics of Komatsu and the world of accessories, zippers and buttons of YKK are a keen look toward the rising sun and the concrete possibility of being the place (Tokyo) for the next edition, May 2026 of TGDR.
